Summer Session

Summer Session at Brown

Open to currently enrolled Brown undergraduates.

Brown University Summer Session offers courses from a variety of disciplines from anthropology to visual arts over an intensive seven weeks. It gives students the opportunity to extend their undergraduate studies into the summer term, whether to focus deeply on a single subject, enroll in high-demand courses that are often full during the academic year, catch up on degree progress, improve academic standing, or explore new areas of interest. Courses are taught by excellent instructors from Brown’s own instructional staff as well as a select group from other institutions. All faculty hold regular office hours to support students with their individual studies and projects. The learning environment for Summer Session fosters dynamic discussions, resources for engaged learning and meaningful time with both instructors and classmates.
